Parking
Milton Village Hall is adjacent Beddow Library, at the edge of Milton Park. There is plenty of free, unrestricted on-street parking alongside the park, over in front of St James’ Church and in the side streets off Milton Road. There is a large loading bay right outside the hall for groups and private hirers to unload/load before finding a parking space. Additionally, the centre is on main bus routes with bus stops just a few steps away.
Access
The centre is fully accessible; all on one level with flat entrance (push button for automatic opening) and separate disabled toilet. Both halls and office have hearing loop systems for the hard of hearing.
Garden
We’re one of the few centres that has its own rear garden which hirers can use, weather permitting of course! Ideal for BBQs and Hog Roasts!
Kitchen
There is a small kitchen with kettles, tea urn, fridge, microwave and silk together with plenty of crockery and cutlery for up to 80 people. Hirers of any of the halls can use the kitchen free of charge and there are 2 stainless steel tea trolleys to help with serving refreshments at your event/to your group.
Catering Service
Alternatively, a catering service is available from on-site coffee shop Pure Ground for all centre hiring, whether you need refreshments for a business meeting, full banquet catering for a wedding or some fun food boxes for a children’s party! Furniture
We have 17 large tressle tables, 70 new matching chairs (plus spare chairs) & 4 folding benches seating 2-3 persons on each. We also have 7 toddler tables and approx. 30 toddler chairs (shared between the 2 halls). Table and chair trolleys are available for easy movement and storage of furniture.
Book/Puzzle/DVD/CD Swap
Located in the foyer, we’ve got a book case crammed with a wide variety of paperbacks and hardbacks, fiction and non-fiction. You can purchase a book for just a 20p donation or bring a book to swap for free! (Puzzles/DVDs/CDs suggested 50p) All Swap donations gratefully accepted.
Photocopying
Photocopying is available at the office during office hours at 10p per copy for black & white and 20p per copy for colour.
